What to Expect on Your First Visit

First Impressions Count When Treating Your Pet
Upon arrival, you will come to two different parts of the hospital. To the right you will find our medical center and to the left is our lodging and grooming center. The first time the Doctor sees your cat or dog, you should allow for 30 to 45 minutes and more if you would like us to give you and your pet a tour of the Pet Resort afterwards. We encourage you to bring any questions, comments or concerns you have regarding your pet that you would like addressed. We strive for excellent communication with our patrons because the more we know the better we can help your pets.
Things to Keep in Mind About Your Appointments:
  • Annual and Semi-Annual Visits: Bring a fresh, marble-sized stool sample sealed in a zip lock bag for us to test.
  • Leash or Carrier: All pets should be kept on a leash or in a carrier while at the hospital.
  • Records: If you have any health history records for your pet that we have not already received, please bring them with you.
  • Pre-Testing: The technician will escort you to a private examination room where your pet will be weighed. From there, the technician will obtain a complete medical history of your pet prior to meeting with the Doctor.
  • Examination: The Doctor will perform a complete and comprehensive examination and he will discuss with you any abnormal results and concerns, if present.
  • Check-Out: The technician will prepare your pet’s prescribed medications as indicated by the Doctor and you will be escorted to our client care representative who will collect any payments and schedule your pet’s next appointment.
