Boarding facilities should be more than enclosed spaces to hold your pet while you are away. They should offer your pet an experience just like you are having on your vacation. At Akron-Medina Pet Resort, we provide your pet with a home away from home, treating them like our very own. Furthermore, we make every effort to accommodate their needs, whether they be medical, behavioral, or otherwise.

A Place Where Comfort is King

The caretakers and veterinary assistants at our pet resort ensure your pet is at their most comfortable for the duration of their stay. We designed our pet boarding facility specially for both cats and dogs. Dogs can either be housed in standard suites or enjoy the luxury style suites. Cats all enjoy roomy condos with plush bedding for ultimate comfort. Accommodations for cats and dogs are kept separate to ensure their wellbeing.

While your pet is with us, our staff makes sure they have clean bedding, plenty of water and food, as well as lots of attention and exercise. Dogs are taken on daily walks and can also frolic to their heart’s content in our outdoor play area. Cats, as typically more solitary creatures, get plenty of time with our staff, but are also able to enjoy some quiet time to themselves. While you are welcome to bring your pet’s own food, bedding and toys, please know that we provide all these things as well, should you prefer to just bring your pet!

Meeting Medical Needs

If your pet has special medical needs such as daily medication, please let our staff know and bring the medication along with you. Provide any special instructions for your pet's care to the staff so we can ensure your pet is well-cared for throughout their stay. If for whatever reason your pet needs medical attention, our veterinary staff can attend to any issue.

Our pet boarding facility is parasite and disease-free, and we’d like to keep it that way! Not only for ourselves, but for your pets. We require that your pet be up-to-date on their vaccines as well as test negative for parasites in their fecal test.
